My second favorite game next to FFXIII and versusXIII (even though they're not out yet): Okami! I was really trying to represent the traditional art from the game. As such this unrealistic style was sort of difficult for me. Nonetheless I had a lot of fun painting this one. My last assigned piece for the year at school. The assignment was for the piece to have at least three layers. In my case it had four since the original white of the canvas was painted with over with an old parchment color and then the other parts. The original is 8X10 canvas and the flames, tail, grass, hills extend to the sides. Instead of my usual "M" within a "C" signature I went traditional Japanese and made the little red box thing...I really have no idea what it's called.  I know Issun is usually with Ammy but I didn't feel like drawing his tiny butt. XDAcrylics on canvas 8 hours *All rights to Okami reserved to Clover Studios |

this was all done by using ink wash? and watercolors? or acrylics on canvas?.....I can't tell......but!.....it's truly amazing!!! I adore all the detail you put into everything; especailly Ammy. The lines have their certain thick and thinness, just like in sukiyo-e and ukiyo-e ink wash styled paintings ~~~
